JUNIOR SIGNING ON NIGHT

A date for your diaries for all junior cricketers’ parents.

This year’s Junior Social Evening and signing on night will take place on Saturday the 24th of March.

NATIONAL KNOCKOUT 2012

The club has been drawn at home to Carnforth CC of the Northern League in round 1. Founded in 1869, they were the last team to join the Northern League in 2006 after a long association with the North Lancashire League, which they joined in 1923. Their history throws up a remarkable similarity with our own in that we were members of the Bolton Association – also since 1923 and we are the newest members of the Central Lancashire League – also in 2006. Both sides finished five places from the bottom of their respective leagues in 2011. Should be a close game!

Other eye catching fixtures include Heaton v Northern and Eagley v Atherton.

Indoor sessions take place at Bolton Indian Sports Centre every Tuesday. 7pm until madura action.jpg8pm is for juniors who have had hard ball experience and 8pm until 9pm for seniors. £3 per session as last year.

We are also hoping to run some sessions for the Under 9s again at George Toms like we have in previous years. Maria will be sending an email out in the next week or so to determine interest and to make sure it is going to be feasible to host them. Anyone who thinks that Maria may not have their e-mail address, or who is new to the club but interested in attending, please email via this link.

CRICKET IN SRI LANKA

Newly appointed professional Madura Lakmal Perera got straight into the swing of things with 5-77 in the second innings of the opening match of Sri Lanka’s first class season. Those interested in following Madura’s progress can do so via this link. Please note that scorecards list him as A.M.L.Perera. He plays for Ragama CC.
